Internship Opportunities
We are now accepting applications for remote internships for undergraduate and graduate students who have skills in content planning and creation for social media, including photography, videography, and graphic design. Applicants with, but not limited to, the following academic backgrounds are welcome: English, Journalism, Media and Film Studies, Public Relations, Communications, and Marketing.
Compensation:
Internships are unpaid, but credit hours are available. This is a remote position so, located anywhere in the US is accepted. (minimum of 7-10 hours per week) are considered.
Outcomes:
College credit can be earned through this program
All student content is published on Arab American’s digital platforms
Upon completion, students are eligible to receive a recommendation letter when seeking employment
Students may be afforded an opportunity to meet Arab American celebrities and leaders who are key decision-makers with government and non-government organizations.
Responsibilities:
Interns selected will be asked to focus on four or more of the following areas:
- Writing content and press releases in English
- Keeping social media sites up-to-date
- Developing videos for various digital platforms
- Posting original and aggregated content to Arab American’s digital platforms
- Searching for events and information about Arab American communities
- Representing and promoting Arab Americans at selected community/online events
- Updating the content of the social media
- Following up with sponsors for Arab American events
- Developing marketing and promotional campaigns
- Assisting with the development and writing of grant applications
- Assisting in developing and implementing special projects
